Meet our Leadership Team

The Inventors’ Network is lead by a board of directors.  Board members are elected to serve a one year term.

President – Travis White

TravisWhiteTravis is the president of the Inventors Network. His back ground is in prototype engineering  and industrial model making. Currently Travis serves as a staff design engineer for a medical device company, specializing in the design, development and manufacturing of stent delivery systems. He has advanced technical knowledge in 3d CAD modeling, experience designing for manufacturing and tooling for injection molding.

Travis is the independent holder of US Patent 8,516,739 B2 and has multiple patents pending as co-inventor related to medical devices.

During previous employment experiences he had the opportunity to travel around the country and some of the world learning under industry leading model makers and inventors. Areas of expertise include silicon and urethane molding, robotics, metal fabrication, and fine woodworking

His strongest passion is helping people on their development journey and feeling the positive impact of a new design.

Treasurer – William Berggren

Speaker Secretary – Steve Lyon

SteveLyonSteve Lyon has been with Inventor’s Network since 2003.  He has an intense commitment to advancing innovation through various projects and his work on the IN board.  He is the IN speaker coordinator and chief legislative contact and is readily available to help (just call him at 612-462-4642).  Knowledgable areas include, IN, invention process, patent legislation, product development, market potential reviews, and Licensing IP in a corporate environment.

Steve is a veteran of the consumer packaging industry and has had marketing, sales and management roles with Procter and Gamble and the Gallo Winery.  He now develops proprietary packaging concepts for his former industry under the brand, “Dual Use Packaging”, which integrate conventional packaging with features that make consumer’s lives easier and in some situations can be live saving.   

Board Member – Rodney Holland

Rodney HollandRod Holland has more than 40 years working in manufacturing working with circuit board manufacturing, high volume manufacturing processes (what it might take to mass produce your product), Statistical Process and Control of Processes (what it takes to make your product at the lowest cost possible), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (How to dimension your parts so they fit together), and general product marketing to include designing his own product website (

Rod has successfully filed for and was awarded a patent for his product that he is trying to launch through his website at and offers to share his experience with other fledgling inventors to help them avoid some of the obstacles that he encountered during the development and launch of his product.

Board Member – John Titus

John TitusThroughout his professional career Mr. Titus has both been a member and an active contributor to several professional associations.

John’s most recent venture is the design and development of an electronic automotive ignition controller for vintage Chrysler Muscle Cars, called the Rev-N-Nator®.  His client is, The R/T Garage, a collector car restoration company in Belle Plain, MN.  The Rev-N-Nator includes an adjustable over speed limit control for preventing engine damage.  It also is proving to be one of the highest performing ignitions available for this collector and racing market.  The Rev-N-Nator was awarded “best new product of the year for 2012”, by the Mopar Collectors Guide Magazine.

At the date of this writing, John Titus holds over thirty patents on both the design and the utility functions of his career creations.  Nearly all of his career projects have demonstrated creative and innovative thinking, leading to patent and/or copyright pursuit by his employer or client partners or by himself.

Board Member – Mike Du Mond

Mike Du Mond Biz Pic LtMike brings over 20 years of new product development and consumer research experience with major Consumer Product companies, such as Frito-Lay, Toro, Clorox and 3M. He knows what works and what doesn’t in creating/developing and perfecting successful new product innovations.

Mike actively advises and mentors local inventors, innovators and biz startups, leveraging his experience/skills to help them develop new product, better and faster, with less cost, less risk and increased chances of success.
